Associates - Lucy Daniels

Lucy's career spans consultancy services, electrical manufacturing, advisory work for national and local government and setting up the national charity, Parents at Work (now Working Families). Her specialisms are small business start-ups and also the reconciliation of work and family life. She is an independent consultant, trainer and coach.

Lucy brings many years of experience to her role. She started her working life as researcher in a management consultancy firm and then went on to specialise for ten years in the electronics manufacturing sector, eventually setting up her own electronics marketing business.

Starting a family of her own led to a re-focus of priorities in Lucy's life and she became founding director of the national charity Parents at Work (now Working Families). This provides a helpline for parents and other carers and supports businesses in developing flexible working and other benefits, to attract and retain skilled employers with caring responsibilities.

Since 1997 Lucy has worked as an independent consultant, trainer and coach working with employers on implementing culture change around issues such as flexible and remote working. She is vice patron of Working Families and an associate of Carers UK and gives frequent presentations and workshops on their behalf. Whilst the focus of her coaching is often on helping a client to reach their potential in the context of work, she take a holistic approach and believes that people work best when they have fulfillment in all aspects of their lives.

Lucy says: 'Coaching creates a space for you to explore and re-focus on what is important, either in your business or personal life. It is a professional partnership between a qualified coach and an individual which supports the achievement of results based on goals set by the client.'
