Enid Pinder (in her own words)

‘For the majority of my earlier career I worked in universities and business schools in a range of management roles, spanning marketing, fund-raising and MBA development. I worked with entrepreneurs and executives from many multi-national, blue chip companies.

I have also worked in Greece teaching English as a second language, and in Italy where I helped write a fashion guide to Milan. I like to travel independently as I believe it helps develop all important inner-resources and I find meeting people from different cultures a life-enriching experience. A couple of years ago I travelled around South East Asia on my own for four months- encountering the unexpected on many occasions!

I first came to coaching when I was head of the MBA Office at Cass Business School. I wanted my staff team to feel excited about what they were doing and to be motivated and positive in their roles. I chose to do a coaching course to help me become the best manager I could be. It wasn’t long before I witnessed the power of coaching. I soon realised I wasn’t content with using it in the workplace – I wanted more. It was then I decided to leave my senior, well-paid job to retrain on an accredited course, to become a full-time coach.

My belief is that human beings are fundamentally resourceful – but we all need a little help sometimes. We all have a wonderful ability to grow and change if we are prepared to put in some effort.’
