Associates - Denis Goodchild

Denis brings together a wealth of business experience, and studied for his MBA on a fast-track management programme with one of the FTSE-100 companies. As a trained coach and NLP practitioner he is conducting academic research into executive coaching.

During his 10 years in management, sales and marketing Denis worked for multinational companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, where he studied for an MBA on a fast-track management programme. He is currently completing research for Henley Management College on "factors that make an excellent executive coach".

These days Denis works full-time as a coach because he says: ‘The work is meaningful and makes a difference to everyone involved in the process. My training as an NLP practitioner emphasised the importance of being true to yourself and this enabled me to explore my identity - who I am and my higher purpose in life. I trained with Sue Knight, a leading figure within NLP in the UK . I assisted her in delivering a in-house NLP practitioner training with Nationwide building society, and have also trained and assisted on a number of NLP programmes.’

Denis is multilingual. He grew up learning Turkish from his mother and then went on to graduate in European Studies and Modern Language at Manchester University, where his major language was Spanish and his secondary language was French

Very much a family man, Denis lives in London with his partner and their two young daughters.

Denis says: ‘Authenticity is to be strived for. How you communicate, what you do and how you think are being judged continually; consistent authenticity will set you apart.’
