Hopefully you have gathered some of this information as you looked at other sections of this website, but we thought it would be useful to say something about the values that underpin Resourceful Coaching Associates. Confidentiality
At Resourceful Coaching Associates we are all members of the International Coach Federation and are bound by its Code of Ethics. This states that clients can expect confidentiality to be a cornerstone of the coaching process. However there are some situations – for example if a client was to disclose an intention to harm someone – where our duty to our fellow human beings would over-ride our obligation to respect confidentiality.
If you decide to receive coaching from Resourceful Coaching Associates we will send you a copy of the ICF Code of Ethics and information about confidentiality, in your introductory information.
Professionalism
Coaching is currently an unregulated profession but many people are working to remedy this. At Resourceful Coaching Associates all our coaches have undertaken the Certificate of Coaching Skills. This is an intensive 20-day course with additional study and coaching practice, provided by Coaching Development. It is one of only a very few courses in the UK which has been accredited by the International Coach Federation. We believe it to be training of an exceptionally high standard.
In addition most of us are studying for recognised coaching qualifications through an ongoing programme of study, observation and assessment. Having our own coaches and receiving regular supervision is an essential part of this.
